Police in Kyiv reported that Arkady Babchenko, a Russian journalist who fled to Ukraine after what he called “political harassment” in Russia, has been shot dead at his home by an unknown assailant.

Spokesperson for the Ukrainian National Police Yaroslav Trakalo told Hromadske that “a presenter from one of the television channels has been shot at his home and he died in the ambulance.” However, Trakalo did not mention the victim’s name.
