Premier Restaurants Romania, the operator of McDonald’s restaurants in Romania, exceeded in February the threshold of 6,000 employees, following the expansion of the network.
At the end of 2022, the company had 4,300 employees, according to the latest data from the Romanian Ministry of Finance.
“With a team of over 6,000 colleagues at present, we are the largest employer in Romania in the quick-service restaurant industry. It is a joy that we managed to grow the team to this level and that we have dedicated and passionate colleagues by our side. Moreover, we are glad that we managed to develop a pleasant working environment that offers equal opportunities to everyone, regardless of gender, age or experience”, Monica Zdrancotă, Human Resources Director, Premier Restaurants Romania, was quoted as saying by the Romanian media.
The structure of the McDonald’s team consists of 60% women and 40% men, a ratio that is reflected in the headquarters, in the restaurant team, but also at the top management level of the company. The average age is 31 years, and 45% of employees are under 25 years old.
In 2023, the company’s employees conducted a total of 38,475 hours of training. At the same time, student employees can receive merit scholarships for excellent results in college and at work.
Of the managers working in the restaurant network, 87% started their career in the company, and over 540 employees have been working at McDonald’s for over 15 years.
Premier Restaurants Romania operates 101 restaurants in 31 cities, of which 54 McDrive restaurants and 57 McCafé cafes. The local company is part of Premier Capital, the development partner of McDonald’s restaurants in Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta and Romania.
Premier Capital plc operates 185 restaurants and employs more than 10,000 people.
