President George Vella, returns to medical roots and assists cameraman during launch of Oħloq Tbissima fund raising activity

President George Vella returned to his roots as a family doctor when he ran to assist a cameraman who fainted and fell off a platform.

The incident happened on Friday as Dr Vella attended the opening of the annual Oħloq Tbissima broadcasting marathon in Santa Venera.

The end of this week will see the 17th edition of the marathon Oħloq Tbissima, organized by the Missionary Society of Saint Paul. The funds raised will be helping children and families living in Peru who lack electricity, water and other basic necessities.

Everyone is welcome to visit the spectacle being presented at Dar San Ġużepp between Friday and Sunday. An art exhibition will also be taking place on Sunday 21st July between 6:00pm and 9:00pm.
