The Libya Observer reported that Libyan Ministry of Transportation is considering a review of air ticket prices for Libyan Airlines and Afriqiyah Airways amid public disapproval and calls for boycotting them.
The Minister of Transportation of the Presidential Council Milad Matouq issued an order on Sunday to form a committee tasked with reconsidering the prices of the flight tickets for the two Libyan airlines.
The order says all information leading to the current prices will be revised so that they become logical and affordable and giving two weeks of work for the committee as a deadline.
Since the start of 2019, Libyan Airlines and Afriqiyah Airways increased the prices, in some cases substantially, amid much public consternation.
