Prince Philip death rumours denied

Buckingham Palace has denied malicious rumours that Prince Philip, consort of Queen Elizabeth II, had died.

A number of social media portals had speculated that the 98-year old royal had lost his life to the coronavirus. The elderly, and those with underlying health conditions are at greater risk, fueling the speculation.

However, the Royal Family issued a statement to dismiss these rumours. While it is not the first time Prince Philip has been the victim of such a hoax, Buckingham Palace described him as feeling “absolutely fine”.
