Quake of magnitude 5.8 strikes off Japan’s southeast coast -EMSC

An earthquake of preliminary magnitude 5.8 struck on Sunday off the southeast coast of Asahikawa in Japan, the European earthquake monitoring service EMSC said.

The quake hit at a depth of 10 km (6 miles), EMSC said.
