Record 46 Sponsors for FinanceMalta’s 19th Annual Conference Next Week

Conference to spotlight Malta’s next generation economy

FinanceMalta’s 19th Annual Conference, taking place on 11 and 12 November 2026, has attracted a record 46 sponsors, underlining the financial services industry’s unity and its strong support for an event that is increasingly becoming a major platform for discussing Malta’s economic and financial future.

Held under the theme ‘Financing the Next Generation Economy’, this year’s conference will bring together leading local and international figures from across the financial services industry to examine the opportunities, challenges and strategic decisions shaping the sector and the wider Maltese economy.

“This year’s record number of sponsors reflects the broad engagement of the industry at a time when Malta is looking to strengthen its position as an international financial services centre while developing new sources of investment, innovation and sustainable economic growth,” noted George Vella, Chairman of FinanceMalta.

Over two days of keynote addresses, panel discussions and networking opportunities, delegates will explore how finance can support emerging industries, strengthen capital markets, attract investment and help build a more diversified and resilient economy.

The conference will feature a distinguished line-up of speakers, including Hon. Clyde Caruana, Minister for Finance, and Hon. Adrian Delia, who will share their perspectives on Malta’s economic direction and the future of its financial services industry.

International expertise will feature prominently throughout the programme. Christos Gortsos, President of the Academic Board of the European Banking Institute, will examine the future of European capital market integration, while Jimmy Kvarnström, Executive Director of Markets at Sweden’s Financial Supervisory Authority, will share insights into Sweden’s experience in developing deep and dynamic capital markets.

Mark Hoban, Chair of the Financial Services Skills Commission, will address the skills and capabilities needed to prepare the financial services workforce for an AI-driven future. Pierre-Henri Conac, Professor of Financial Markets Law at the University of Luxembourg, will explore the future of European financial supervision.

Key discussions will span artificial intelligence, digital resilience, tokenisation, crowdfunding, private equity, venture capital, occupational pensions and family offices.

The programme will also examine opportunities to finance and support Malta’s maritime, aviation and creative economies.

Beyond the immediate priorities of the financial services industry, the conference will also discuss how Malta can mobilise capital, attract new investment and build the capabilities needed to compete in today’s increasingly complex global environment.

Calamatta Cuschieri Moneybase is the conference Diamond Sponsor, Gate Technology is Platinum Plus Sponsor while Bank of Valletta, Audentia Capital, Malta Stock Exchange, Ganado Advocates, AQA Capital, NIUM and Systematic are Platinum Sponsors.
