Restaurant in Sardinia takes endangered sea urchins off the menu

A well-known restaurant in Sardinia has taken endangered sea urchins off its menu.

Francesco Deriu, owner of the renowned ‘Alamo’ restaurant in Alghero, said he had come to this decision as these delicate sea creatures are at risk of extinction.
Deriu said he was also launching a campaign to raise awareness of the big risk of extinction of the sea urchins in the waters of Sardinia.
