Search continuing in Lampedusa for victims of latest tragedy

Italian authorities are continuing the search for the bodies of the persons that were on-board a boat that capsized earlier this week off the coast of Lampedusa.

According to survivors, there were around and 50 persons on board the vessel of which 22 were saved. Reports indicate that 15 persons are still missing among them eight children.

According to an initial reconstruction of event, when rescue patrol boats arrived to rescue the migrants from the boat, all the migrants moved to one end of the boat, causing it to overturn.
