Several people were killed, and more than 30 others wounded after a massive car bomb explosion ripped through a busy neighbourhood at the western side of Afghanistan’s capital of Kabul.
The huge blast occurred roughly at 9:00 a.m. local time and was immediately followed by an attack by several militants.
There has been no let-up in violence in Afghanistan even though the Taliban and the United States appear close to a historic pact for U.S. troops to withdraw in exchange for a Taliban promise the country would not be used to plot terrorist attacks.
