The singer Pink said that she has recently recovered from Covid-19, and announced that she is donating $500,000 each to two emergency funds helping tackle the outbreak.
In a statement posted on Twitter, she said that she had accessed a test through her family’s primary healthcare physician two weeks ago, after both her three-year old son and herself were showing symptoms.
In her tweet, Pink criticised government for not making testing widely available.
She added that people need to know that Coronavirus can hit everyone and as such testing must be done widely available.
In her tweet she also thanked all healthcare professionals on the frontline in this war.
