Situation at Ħal Far open centre described as ‘a ticking time bomb’– The Headlines: The Times

The Times investigates the situation at the Ħal Far open centre, saying that the facility reached maximum capacity of 1,300 residents. Sources told the paper there were only 10 security guards on site and described the situation ‘a ticking time bomb’.

The Times also follows the Prime Minister’s speech on Tuesday in which he accused the opposition of fanning racial tensions in its reaction to the Ħal Far riots. Joseph Muscat condemned the incident but appealed for reason.
