Scientists are worried about the soaring prices of dinosaur skeletons. For several years the skeletons of dinosaurs went under the hammer in auctions all over the world. A dinosaur fossil can range from 400,000 euros up to several million euros. Museums cannot afford to pay so much money that scientific research is no longer possible. The laws regarding the sale of dinosaur fossils vary by country.
