Small wins … Niguarda hospital closes down one of the Intensive care units as numbers go down

It is a small but very important step, and while the emergency has not ended and one cannot absolutely let the guard down the decline in the last few days of new positive patients has allowed the Inguarda hospital to close one of the 5 intensive therapies that in these two months were opened for the assistance of covid patients.

Until a few days ago, this unit had 27 beds which welcomed patients in very serious conditions due to the virus.

Today, they are empty. Now the ward will be reorganized and sanitized.

The medical team working in the ward celebrated this feat, and share a video on Facebook.

“And in the end … the joy of those who, in the last 50 days, have worked in this department with a lot of dedication, professionalism, responsibility and sensitivity … thanks!”
