Sanchez announces that Spain will go to vote on April 28

Spain will go to the polls on April 28, Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez announced on Friday.

“Spain must keep going forward,” the Socialist leader said in a statement, defending the legacy of his eight-month-old administration, which will become the shortest in Spain’s modern democratic history. It will be the third time Spaniards have to choose a new national parliament since December 2015.
