Malta woke up to the night news about the death of Hugo Chetcuti following the stabbing of last weekend.

Entrepreneur Hugo Chetcuti has died six days after he was stabbed in Paceville. Chetcuti, 51, was stabbed twice in the stomach by a former employee. He had been receiving care at Mater Dei Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit, where he underwent a number of surgeries. Orizzont reports that this murder might have ripples in the organised crime world.
