The Spice Girls are reportedly working on new music

The iconic girl group – which features Mel B, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner – recently reunited for a series of comeback concerts, and they’ve now apparently turned their sights towards making new material.

A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper’s Watts the Goss column: “They have been working in London to gather their thoughts and start recording new material. It’s very exciting and in the early stages but it’s happening.”

Speaking to The Mirror, the insider added that the girls have ‘also been in contact with Victoria to see if she can be involved’ but Posh Spice has long refused to reunite with the girls; she last performed with them at the London 2012 Summer Olympics closing ceremony. The girls have been back and forth over whether they will release new music but Mel B has long been adamant that we would hear new tracks from the pop stars sooner rather than later.

The Sun reports that an insider revealed that the foursome met with music bosses in London earlier this week to plan their return to the charts. They explained: “They have been working in London to gather their thoughts and start recording new material. It’s very exciting and in the early stages but it’s happening.”
