The spread of the Co-Vid19 keeps the world in anxious state

Leaders in Europe, the Middle East and the Americas rolled out bans on big gatherings and stricter travel restrictions as cases of the new coronavirus spread around the world. The outbreak is disrupting flight demand and many airlines have suspended or modified services in response. After Saturday’s press conference, the White House held a call with airlines to discuss new travel restrictions.
American Airlines Inc said late on Saturday it was suspending all U.S. flights to Milan. Turkish Airlines also announced it will stopping its flights to Italy.
The spread across Europe: The European outbreak largely began with Italy, which reported its first coronavirus death on February 22. At the time of the death, there were only 17 cases reported in the country. Now, a mere eight days later, Italy has 1,128 cases and 29 deaths.
In the meantime, more than a dozen countries in the region reported their first cases — including Luxembourg, Romania and Greece
Sweden, Germany, Norway and Croatia have all reported new coronavirus cases.
In Sweden, 12 people have tested positive, the Swedish Public Health Authority said on Saturday. The cases are spread across four regions.
In Germany, the number of confirmed cases has risen to 66, according to the Robert Koch Institute. The cases are spread across six states.
In Norway, eight more people tested positive on Saturday, according to the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, raising the national total to 15. Three of those 15 cases are people who work in the Oslo University Hospital, the institute said.
In Croatia, the National Civil Protection Authority announced a new confirmed case on Saturday, raising the national total to six, according to state media agency HINA.
Ireland reported its first case of the virus, as did Ecuador, and Armenia.
China has reported 573 new confirmed cases and 35 deaths.
Japan reported its second death on Sunday – a man in his 70s on the island of Hokkaido.
Australia recorded its first Covid-19 death on Sunday – a 78-year-old man who had been a passenger on the Diamond Princess cruise ship. He died in Perth and his wife is infected with the virus.
The US has recorded its first death from Covid-19. A man in his 50s in Washington state, who had underlying health issues but with no travel history to affected areas.
Two more doctors have died in China and the country’s death tally has risen by 35 to 2,870. Infections have risen 573 to 79,824 (of which 41,825, or 52%, are listed as recovered).
A second person in Australia has tested positive to the virus after returning from Iran. The government imposed travel restrictions on passengers coming from Iran.
South Korea has recorded 376 more Covid-19 cases, taking the country’s total to 3,526. Seventeen people have died.
