The Times says that construction operator Joseph Portelli went ahead with the assembly of an illegal batching plant in Kerċem after the Planning Authority issued an enforcement order. Witnesses said the assembly continued as soon as PA officials left the site.
The Times quotes a post-election report by Moviment Żgħażagħ Partit Nazzjonalista presented to party secretary general Clyde Puli. The PN youth branch named a siege mentality and attacks against independent media among causes contributing to the defeat.
