A 18-month-year old girl has died after slipping from her grandfather’s arms on the 11th deck of a cruise ship, the Freedom of the Seas, while it was docked in Puerto Rico.
The child is understood to have fallen from the Freedom of the Seas ship onto the concrete port below. Reports suggest that a man was holding his child up to an open window when he slipped and dropped the child overboard. Reports indicate that the child fell the equivalent of 11 storeys
The family of the girl is from the United States of America.
Freedom of the Seas is the 15th largest passenger ship in the world and accommodates around 5,000 passengers and crew
