Tom Hanks shoots a touching Toy Story video for Irish twins who were born conjoined

American actor Tom Hanks shot a touching Toy Story video for Irish twins who were born conjoined after learning that they have kept their Woody and Buzz Lightyear toys with them through 52 operations they endured.

Miceal O’Hurley, an ice-cream parlour owner who worked in the US Congress and has contacts in the film industry, reached out to the actor, informing him of the boys’ love of Toy Story.

Hassan and Hussein Benhaffaf, who are from Carrigtwohill, Co Cork were born conjoined in December 2009 before being successfully separated the following year.
Hanks combined his own actions and choreography with the Toy Story’s theme song, ‘You’ve Got a Friend in Me’.

O’Hurley said that Hanks put serious thought in to the video and wanted the boys to know that he admires them and wants to be their friend .

Tom Hanks, who collects typewriters, also sent a hand typed letter with his signature at the end.

In the letter he joked that he “looks a bit odd” these days and asked the boys not to “be scared” by his appearance in the video.
