Tripoli Government calls on friendly countries to assume their responsibilities

Fayez Al-Sarraj, Chairman of the Presidential Council, called on “Libya’s brotherly and friendly countries” to assume their responsibilities and call things what they are by condemning the war on Tripoli.

He stressed that the call for a cease-fire must be coupled with the withdrawal of the aggressor force from the territory they occupied in these last weeks.

In a meeting with a number of Arab, African and western ambassadors in Tunis, Al-Sarraj emphasized that the war will end and the Libyans will return to the negotiation table, calling for the preparation of a political process that takes into account the new realities created by the war.

He also called for exploring a new mechanism for dialogue that involves all Libyans without exclusion and to find new partners to negotiate with.
