Trump criticises Fox News for hosting Pete Buttigieg

Donald Trump has aired his outrage at the fact that Fox News did their job and covered a story on a Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg.

On Sunday night, Trump attacked Fox on Twitter, criticising them for broadcasting a town hall with Pete Buttigieg.

During the discussion, Buttigieg went on to receive a standing ovation from a New Hampshire crowd.

Taking to Twitter, Trump accused Fox of ‘wasting airtime on Mayor Pete’ adding that he believed they were ‘moving more and more to the losing (wrong) side in covering the Dems’ and that ‘Alfred E Neuman (the nickname he has assigned to Buttigieg) will never be president.’

Trump tweeted “Hard to believe that @FoxNews is wasting airtime on Mayor Pete, as Chris Wallace likes to call him.”

Buttigieg spoke with the Fox News host Chris Wallace in Claremont, New Hampshire, on Sunday, a few hours after Trump tweeted his disapproval. When the interview and Q&A finished, the audience members got to their feet and applauded the Democratic candidate, who is mayor of South Bend, Indiana.

Wallace, looking around the room, commented: “Wow, a standing ovation.”
