Twitter said that the social media website and its dashboard management platform TweetDeck was hit with an outage on Tuesday, with thousands of global users left in the dark.

Outage monitoring website Outage.report received more than 4,000 reports of the incident globally, including Japan, Canada and India.

The bulk of outages appear to be concentrated on the United States’ east coast and Europe, but people around the world complained that they were having problems too in other countries.
