Two Turkish Airlines flights bound to UK forced to turn mid-air following UK decision to ban Boeing 737 Max planes

300 people who were planning to fly from the UK to Istanbul are stranded at Birmingham and Gatwick airports

Two Turkish Airlines aircraft have turned around in mid-air after the UK banned the Boeing 737 MAX 8 type from British airspace.

The aircraft were bound from Istanbul airport to Birmingham and Gatwick.
