Typhoon Mitag makes landfall in South Korea

Seoul was expected to receive 30 to 80 millimetres of rain, while North and South Chungcheong provinces are expected to see 80 to 150 millimetres.

According to local media reports, Typhoon Mitag made landfall in the southern part of the Korean peninsula leaving at least four dead, two injured.

It is expected to exit to the East Sea on Thursday morning and turn eastward from waters 40 kilometers away from Korea’s easternmost islets of Dokdo.
