University research reveals WW2 London secret plans for the Canary Islands

A new research of Las Palmas University chaired by Marta Garcia-Cabrera, reveals the secret plans of the British Special Operations Executive (SOE) during WWII back in the early 40’s against the Canary Islands.

The planned operation, that finally was not carried out, was designed to avoid Nazi U-Boot fleet refuelling near Las Palmas coast

According to the plans, Polish SOE agents were to swim from Hotel Metropol up to some boats anchored near the coast to place bombs on a boat that was thought to be a secret boat gas station for the Nazi U-Boats.
