Malta Today reveals that the US is applying pressure on Darren Debono who is facing charges for fuel smuggling. The former national team footballer said that the American embassy is pressing him to reveal information about a smuggling network operating across the Mediterranean.
Another story in Malta Today says that a court ruling found the Attorney General in breach of the fundamental rights of two businessmen involved in an oil scandal by delaying their case for over six years. The presiding judge ordered the prosecution to close the evidence by the end of the year.
