“We’re going back to normality” – Czech Health Minister

 

The Czech Republic has effectively declared victory in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, according to media reports in the Central European nation’s media.

Health Minister Adam Vojtěch reportedly declared that the country managed to stop the  the uncontrolled spread of COVID-19″. He called on the country’s citizens to prepare for a return to normal life.“We are not in the same situation as Italy or Spain.”, Vojtěch bragged.

His statement was echoed by Ladislav Dušek, director of the Institute of Health Information and Statistic. “The number of positively tested [people] is declining … It is a clear signal that something is happening in the population and that the spread has stopped.”

The Czech’s Governent started to ease lockdown restrictions as of yesterday after the infection rate continued to decrease. Currently, 5,033 persons were confirmed as infected, with 91 losing their lives. Despite this jubilation, more than 200 new infections were reported yesterday.
