Zlatan Ibrahimovic set to return for AC Milan

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has accepted an offer to rejoin Milan and is due there in the coming days to finalise the move, according to several media reports.

The Guardian reports that the 38-year-old has agreed a six-month contract for the remainder of the season, with the option of a further year. He is expected to earn €3 million.

The striker, a free agent after leaving LA Galaxy, played for Milan for two seasons from 2010-12, scoring 56 goals in 85 games.

The Gazzetta Dello Sport reports that it is not clear when Ibrahimovic will be making himself available. The options are 30th December or the following week.

The former Sweden international outlined his desire to return to Europe, where he enjoyed so much success in his pomp, and it looks like his former club Milan will win the race to sign the 6ft 5in striker, The Daily Mail reports.
