2.6 magnitude earthquake registered in Camaiora (Lucca) Italy

A 2.6 earthquake was registered by seismographs around 2.20 pm with an epicentre two kilometres north of Camaiore. The earthquake, which did not cause damage, had an epicenter at about 8 kilometers deep and was also felt in Garfagnana and in some areas of Lucca. 

In the province of Lucca, in Tuscany, people reported feeling the ground shaking beneath them and a roar from the subsoil.

Numerous phone calls were made to the emergency services when the earthquake hit at just after 2.17pm, ANSA Chronicle reported.

Another 2.0 tremor was registered in Lazio around 8.20 pm (Local Time).
