3.4 earthquake in Mugello, Italy, causes train cancellations

An earthquake of magnitude 3.4 was recorded in Scarperia and San Piero, in the province of Florence, in Mugello.

The earthquake was located at a depth of 9 km and currently there are no reports of damage to people or things.

The earthquake h led to trains across the country being cancelled or severely delayed, including those on the national high speed line. The company has to conduct checks on the line in the area if an earthquake is registered above a magnitude of 4.
