3.7 earthquake in the Catania area in Sicily

An earthquake of magnitude 3.7 was recorded at 12:48 am on the north-western slopes of Etna, in the province of Catania.

According to surveys carried out by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (Ingv), the earthquake had a hypocenter at a depth of 22 km and was the epicenter between Maletto and Randazzo.

No damage or victims are reported for the moment.
