A 24-year-old man who lives in Swieqi suffered grievous injuries following an argument with a 34-year-old British man. The incident took place at a restaurant in Triq San Gorg, St Julian’s, earlier this morning at about 0400hrs.
Preliminary investigations by the District Police revealed that the 24-year-old was injured after he was allegedly assaulted during the altercation. He was taken to Mater Dei Hospital where he was treated for the injuries he sustained.
The British man is being held by the Police whilst investigations are still ongoing.
