5 babies, 12 children and 50 women were amongst the 236 Eritreans who disembarked in Pozzallo during the night after the latest migration drama in the Mediterranean which triggered yet another spat between Malta and Italy.

The Italian authorities have also identified the ones responsible for the journey, a Tunisian and Libyan and the search started.

Matteo Salvini reiterated that Malta was shameful and wondered ‘whether Brussels will waste any ink to send warning letters to Malta’.
