21 million Italians living in hardship, 10 million have almost zero income, 7 million living on a gross monthly income of €500

Some 21 million Italians are in economic difficulty due to the coronavirus and half of them have no income. This is what emerges from a study conducted by the University of Tuscia.

Some seven million Italians are living on gross income of 500 euros a month, said the report from the Università della Tuscia.

Tuscia Web reports half of the around 21 million people who are experiencing this emergency from Coronavirus with serious economic difficulties, over 10 million, have almost zero income.

The study also specifies that there are at least 3 million people who do not declare income to the tax authorities. It points out that these 3 million people, by not declaring income to the tax authorities, can hardly now earn a minimum for their own and their family’s livelihood.

There would then be over 18 million people with annual incomes of less than 15 thousand euros, of which 7.6 million with less than 6 thousand, that is 500 gross euros per month.
