The maritime industry of Malta is an industry with a large local contribution. A sector that includes 11,500 employees, working directly within this industry. It is for this reason which the government should recognise the difficulties in which this industry is encountering.
This was discussed during a meeting held between the leader of the Nationalist Party, Adrian Delia, with the Malta Maritime Forum – the deputy leader of the Nationalist Party, David Agius, and Speaker of the Opposition for economic investment Kirsty Debono and Speaker for transport, Toni Bezzina, attended this meeting.
