Zuckerberg announces messenger changes

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced on Wednesday that Facebook will enable its user to send messages between Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp.

The Independent reports him saying that the social media company will improve its encryption software and will not store user data “in countries with weak human rights records.”

The WSJ quotes him saying that Facebook plans both to offer encrypted messaging across all of its major products and to allow people to make private conversations ephemeral.
