Over 200 persons killed in fighting around Tripoli

The World Health Organization (WHO) said that 205 people have been killed, including 18 civilians, and 913 wounded in two weeks of fighting near the Libyan capital of Tripoli.

Germany on called for a meeting of the United Nations Security Council later on Thursday to discuss the escalating conflict in Libya after the 15-member body failed to agree on a draft resolution calling for a ceasefire.
