The Times Headlines – Saturday 15th June 2019

The Times reports on a press conference by the leaders who took part in the South EU Summit on Friday. Prime Minister Joseph Muscat announced that the members agreed to push for a minimum wage across the EU.

The Times also has a photo story about activists holding placards and photos of slain journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, during the Press conference of the summit.

The Times also follows the court case in which Erin Tanti has been sentenced for 20 years in prison. The paper reports that that the victim’s father, Tony Zahra, ‘hurled abuse’ towards the offender while the judgement was being read out.
