A 10-year-old girl unfortunately lost her life following a traffic accident in Triq tal-Prajjet, Mellieħa today, 20th June, 2019 at about 1730hrs.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a collision took place between a Toyota Aygo driven by a 49-year-old man who lives in Mtarfa and a Nissan Leaf driven by a 35-year-old woman who lives in Mellieħa.
The 10-year-old girl, who was a passenger in the Toyota Aygo, was later certified dead shortly after arriving at Mater Dei Hospital.
A Magisterial Inquiry has been appointed into the case whilst Police investigations are still ongoing.
