The majority of the persons which were taken into Malta yesterday were children aged between 3 and 16 years.
Yesterday afternoon 24 migrants were brought into Malta by the Armed Forces.
The 24 persons were taken into Birzebbugia.
TVM reports that the migrants were mainly Libyans and from Syria, two countries stricken by conflict.
