44 migrants aboard the Alan Kurdi transferred to an AFM vessel and brought to shore: The Headlines – The Malta Independent

 

The Malta Independent quotes Eurostat figures which show that 14 percent of the population in Malta does not hold Maltese citizenship.  EU citizens make 8 percent of the population while non-EU citizens make 6 percent.

The Malta Independent reports that 44 migrants aboard the rescue ship Alan Kurdi have been transferred to an AFM vessel and brought to shore. The migrants were picked up on Monday in a joint operation with Maltese authorities.
