The Independent follows a court case on Monday and quotes witnesses who said that government official Neville Gafa’ demanded €2,500 to issue medical visas. One of them said that he met Gafa’ in hospital where he introduced himself as ‘the agent of the government of Malta’.
The paper also covers a presentation of proposals for a prostitution law reform by a coalition of 40 NGOs. The members recommend criminalising payment for sex and creating exit services for victims of prostitution.
