Three detained and accused of planning religiously motivated terror attack in Germany

Police carried out raids in the city of Offenbach on Tuesday and detained three people accused of planning what was described as an “Islamic State”-affiliated terror attack.

The accused had begun to prepare for a “religiously motivated crime” with the use of explosives or firearms, police said. Written statements along with substances and equipment used for bomb-making were found during the raids.
