B’Tal-Linja għall-Istrina

B’tal-Linja għall-Istrina’ is being held once again for the third year, with Malta Public Transport pledging a donation from bus trips to the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation.

One half of the fare paid by every passenger using the public transport on 22 December will go directly to L-Istrina, without passengers having to effect any additional payment.

Malta Public Transport General Manager Konrad Pule’ stated that some 38,000 euro had been raised through this same initiative last year.

Malta Public Transport will be offering half the fare for each trip, whether paid by the Tallinja Card or purchased on the buses, for this cause. Passengers using Tallinja Cards for Adults, Students and Gozo travel pay  €0.75ċ for the trip, whereas those who have Concession or Children’s Cards pay €0.25ċ. €1.50c tickets can be purchased from the bus driver.

The sum raised from this initiative will be added to donations made by Malta Public Transport employees throughout the year.
