The Constitutional Court ordered three government ministers to reveal the source which they quoted when they testified in a case on the VGH public hospitals contract.

The Court’s decision concerns Ministers Chris Cardona, Edward Scicluna and Konrad Mizzi following a request by Opposition Leader Adrian Delia during the hearing of his appeal on the Civil Court’s decision which refused to grant him access to the full Egrant report.

The Attorney General objected to the request that the Ministers are summoned to testify on a confidential evidence.

The Constitutional Court, presided by Chief Justice Joseph Azzopardi and judges Noel Cuschieri and Giannino Caruana Demajo, disagreed with the Attorney General, and decided that they should testify on their source.
