Malta won two tourism awards at the ITB fair in Berlin, reports The Times. The country won the ‘Best LGBT Trend Destination’ category while Valletta was voted ‘Best City Break-Destination’. The paper says ITB is the largest trade fair in the tourism sector.

Almost 70 percent of people agree with gender quotas to balance the share of women and men in parliament, a MaltaToday survey finds. 54 percent said they would agree with laws obliging parties to present election candidate lists with equal number of men and women.

The Electoral Commission admitted to giving the wrong information to expats who intend to vote in the upcoming MEP elections, after an investigation by The Shift News. The portal is requesting the Commissions to announce the correct procedure.

Malta’s Eurovision entry is predicted by bookmakers to place 11th at the festival in Tel Aviv in May. LovinMalta says that EurovisionWorld gives Michela Pace’s Chameleon a 3 percent chance of winning Eurovision 2019.
