The Times reports that the Inland Revenue Department is demanding a €2.9 million tax bill from the Deputy Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff, Carmen Sammut. L-Orizzont quotes Prime Minister Joseph Muscat who says that the current unemployment rate is the lowest since 195, when statistics were first recorded. Muscat said that in the pat six years, unemployment went down by 75 percent.
