An earthquake of the magnitude of 4 was recorded in the early hours of Friday in Calabria, in the north of the province of Catanzaro.
According to the Italian National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (Ingv), the earthquake had a hypocentre at a depth of 8 km and an epicentre at 6 km from Albi and 19 from the capital Catanzaro.
At the moment there are no reports of damage to people or things.
